OMNI Television: Arthur Lam breaks down the federal election results

Arthur joined OMNI to share campaign insights with the Chinese Canadian community, emphasizing message, messenger, and medium as the three pillars of effective political outreach.

Nexus Partner Arthur Lam appeared twice on OMNI Television during the federal election to provide political analysis in Cantonese.

In his election night appearance, Arthur broke down the results in real time, explaining the regional dynamics at play in building Mark Carney’s minority Government. In an earlier interview, he explained why the “Canada Strong” slogan is better than “Canada First”, why it is a bad idea to ban the press on the leader’s campaign trail, how campaigns can reach young people, and how to motivate diverse communities to participate in the democratic process or advocacy campaigns.

Arthur emphasized that successful outreach, whether in politics or business, relies on three elements:

  1. - A compelling message

  2. - The right medium to reach your audience

  3. - A credible messenger to deliver it

This framework applies to political campaigns, corporate communications, and public advocacy alike.
